Who can benefit from therapy?
Therapy can benefit anyone who wants support navigating life’s challenges, understanding themselves more deeply, or creating meaningful change. You do not need to be in crisis to seek therapy.
People often begin therapy when they are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, major life transitions, low self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Therapy can also be helpful for those who want to improve communication, build healthier coping skills, set boundaries, or gain greater clarity and confidence.
No matter where you are in your journey, therapy can provide a supportive space to explore your experiences, identify what may be holding you back, and work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy can vary depending on your individual needs, services provided, and insurance coverage. Insurance is accepted, as well as cash payments for those who prefer to self-pay. We’re happy to discuss payment options and help you determine what may work best for you before getting started.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes, we offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to help you determine whether our services are the right fit for your needs. This brief conversation gives you an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the therapy process, and discuss what you’re looking for before scheduling your first session.
Do you offer in-person therapy in West Palm Beach?
Yes, in-person therapy sessions are available in West Palm Beach. We offer a comfortable and supportive environment where you can meet face-to-face with your therapist and receive personalized care based on your individual needs and goals.
Do you offer evening appointments?
Yes, evening and weekend appointments are available to provide greater flexibility for your schedule. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with weekend availability Friday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
How do I know if therapy is the right fit for me?
The best way to find out is to schedule an initial consultation. This gives you an opportunity to discuss your goals, ask questions, and learn more about our approach. Together, we can determine whether our services are a good fit for your needs and the type of support you are looking for.
How long is a therapy appointment?
Therapy sessions typically last between 45 and 60 minutes. Session length may vary depending on your individual needs, treatment goals, and the type of appointment scheduled. Your therapist will work with you to determine the appropriate session length and frequency to best support your progress.
How quickly can I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling an appointment is quick and easy. You can use our convenient online scheduling system to book a consultation at a time that works best for you, or call us directly at (561) 484-3565 for assistance. We make the process simple so you can get started with the support you need as soon as possible.
What can I expect from a typical session?
Each therapy session is a supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We may explore current challenges, identify patterns that may be affecting you, and work together to develop practical tools and healthier ways of coping.
Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or past experiences, while others may center on problem-solving, building confidence, or working toward specific goals. There is no one-size-fits-all approach—your sessions will be tailored to your needs and what feels most important to you at that time.
How often should I have sessions?
While even one session can be helpful, we believe that consistency is key. Most clients experience the greatest benefit from weekly sessions, but we can work together to create a schedule built around your lifestyle and goals.
What insurance plans do you accept?
Currently, Mental Movement Therapy accepts Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Humana Medicare. Cash-paying clients are also accepted.
Which states can you provide online therapy in?
Online therapy sessions are currently available to clients located in Florida, Illinois, and Texas. Virtual sessions offer a convenient and flexible way to receive support from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used form of therapy that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It can help you identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking, and learn practical coping strategies for managing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional concerns.
What is Solution-Focused Therapy?
Solution-Focused Therapy is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on your strengths, resources, and the positive changes you would like to make. Rather than spending most of the time exploring past problems, this approach helps you identify practical solutions, build on what is already working, and take meaningful steps toward your goals.
What is the difference between therapy and life coaching?
Therapy focuses on emotional well-being, mental health concerns, past experiences, and patterns that may be affecting your daily life, and life coaching is typically more future-focused and centers on setting goals, building confidence, and creating action steps for personal or professional growth.
While both can offer support and guidance, therapy is provided by a licensed mental health professional and can address deeper emotional and psychological concerns.
Are your therapy services confidential?
Yes, our therapy is entirely confidential. Your case will not be discussed with anyone without your knowledge and consent except when disclosure is required by state law or professional ethics.
